Fulham will come to the Riverside as underdogs against Burnley, who remain in eighth place in the Premier League table. Having lost all three of their opening games to League One opposition, Burnley should be able to put an end to their scoring woes. That said, the home team has carried a heavy amount of momentum throughout the first two games of the season. That has made Fulham a good team to watch this season, but one that could find itself on the short side against a team that has faced some hot strikers this season. Jack Cork, who has 10 goals in all competitions this season, and Mohamed Salah, who has been tearing up the English top flight for Liverpool, are on the bench. That is a concern for Fulham.

Defensively, Fulham should have no trouble containing Burnley. Sean Dyche’s side is one of the few teams in the league that will hold onto possession over the course of 90 minutes. They will look to keep Joe Hart and David Cotterill from getting their hands on the ball. Mladen Petric and Jason Puncheon are the two well-travelled strikers for Fulham, but these two are likely to get tired and tiresome against City.
Prediction: Fulham 1-0
Tottenham seem to have a page from their coach’s book, what with Harry Kane and Dele Alli working in tandem. For the second game in a row, they frustrated Arsenal with their relentless attacking style in stoppage time. On Saturday, Dele Alli was one of the men paid to come off and help them edge past Arsenal in a thrilling 4-3 win at White Hart Lane.
Liverpool’s style of play has caught the eye this season, especially with their defensive resistance. The Reds gave their opponents more time to defend in the draw against Burnley. Although the Reds have looked fine so far, they will want to tighten up and impose their own style of play.
Chris Wood will bring some energy into Sunderland’s game against Manchester City on Saturday, but it is going to take some effort for the Spurs man to cause an upset. Roberto Firmino is the team’s main target man, but Wood has emerged as a threat in front of goal and could make life uncomfortable for the City striker.
